If you're heading north east of Chatham-Kent at all this weekend you'll likely run into some messy road conditions. Ontarians can expect the $200 rebate cheque from the provincial government by the end of the month or in early February. The federal government has now released the full schedule for rebate and benefit payments in 2025. CK police closed Prince Albert Rd between McNaughton Ave E and Gregory Dr for several hours for hydro pole repair. A 15-year-old is facing consequences after police received a call about a bomb on a train headed into Chatham-Kent on New Year's Day. OPP say they caught a Merlin resident going 140 km/h on Highway 40 just north of Chatham on January 1. Life will be slowing down pretty quickly for a 52-year-old Merlin resident who was caught going way too fast on Highway 40 just north of Chatham on New Year's Day, the first Chatham-Kent baby born in 2025 is a girl, and New Orleans is moving ahead with plans to re-open Bourbon Street as the investigation continues into yesterday's deadly incident on that same street where a driver plowed into a crowd -- killing at least 15 people.
