Chatham-Kent municipal offices and libraries are available as cooling centres while an extended heat warning is in place. First responders including aerial and marine units are looking along the Thames River in Chatham for a missing person. A Lake Erie beach remained closed on Monday as first responders searched for a missing swimmer. Bus fares in Chatham-Kent will be going up slightly on July 1st, but only for people who use a smart card.
